Our Story

Our journey began in 1990 when our farther, Rajesh Amin, purchased a video rental store in London.

As demand for our rental services grew, we quickly adapted, distributing videos to other rental and retail stores across the city — marking the start of our first trade relationships. Over the years, as the rise of streaming services began to impact the video rental industry, we recognized the need to evolve. In the 2000s and 2010s, we expanded our product offerings, diversifying to meet the changing needs of our customers and local retail partners.

In 2023, the next generation of the Amin family — Pruthvi and Shivam — launched Pro Distribution, transforming our family business into a national wholesale and distribution network. Today, we proudly serve over 130 active retail customers across various industries, offering a carefully curated portfolio of more than 600 high-quality product lines.

We are also proud to continue trading in our original retail store in London, where it all began, serving as a direct connection to the heart of our business and local community.

Meet the Founders

Meet Shivam and Pruthvi Amin, the brothers behind Pro Distribution.They built the business to continue a family trading legacy and to support independent retailers with quality products, competitive pricing, and dependable service.

Shivam Amin

Shivam graduated from Cass Business School in 2015 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He began his career in financial services, working within the Asset Management division at KPMG for three years. Shivam brings a strong commercial and operational focus to Pro Distribution, ensuring the business remains financially robust and growth-driven.

Pruthvi Amin

Pruthvi graduated from the London School of Economics in 2018 with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. He spent three years working as a software developer for a renewable energy start-up. With the backing of a one million pound government loan he built a proprietary software application designed to help businesses achieve net zero and assess the energy saving benefits from renewable energy technologies. Pruthvi heads the procurement of new product lines for Pro Distribution.
